More Songs...

I couldn't help but put a "small" playlist on here for you to look up at your own time and pace. I'm not being one-sided on this, but these songs remind me of everything you're going through. To be quite honest, all of these songs can be played and understood from all sides. I've felt them at one point or another.

I'm not afraid to be alone... I've done it for 33 years, and I still survive... thrive.... breathe.... live.... drive on. I'll be honest, I'm scared. Scared for many reasons that you know, and scared that one day - you'll get bored, or I'll get bored. That one day, you or I may not be enough. That one day, our worlds may drive us apart. That one day you may love me more than I love you. That one day I may love you more than you love me. All of these (cancel and delete)... are honest thoughts that have crossed my mind and my heart.

Do you remember when I told you that I had to strip down all the labels.... expectations.... religion.... family.... friends..... and find out who I was at the core? Do you remember that you brought that up and what the other person's response was? It seems that since that time... things have gone down hill. The fear in the eyes... in the response that was given. Is all of this worth it? At the end of the day... do you know who you are? Without the labels? Without the expectations? Without me? Just you, at the center of your core.... have you found you? Do you need some time to yourself to continue that journey?

All avenues have to be exhausted, left knowing that everything was given and a conscious choice was/is made. If I wasn't here - would you still be where you are? What are the reasons you're where you are? Look deep.... uninhibited. Place responsibilities where they truly are. Switch roles. Take a look. How does it feel? What looks different? Can you love the outcomes? What will you say to the other young loves of your life?

Sometimes the hardest thing to do with making choices, is not so much having a plan, or even making the choice.... it's the outcome. The unexpected hurt.... animosity.... grief.... wondering who's to blame.... what to do.

I hope these songs serve as the devil's advocate for all sides...

Lady A

Some songs you wish you could have written yourself, but someone sometimes just puts it together better. Will fill everyone in on the happenings in my life.  However, for now - y'all will have to deal with my musical journal. Lol

Love and light, P-

Healing and Transitioning...

These past few months have been very healing as I've transitioned into being self-employed and ventured into a new, better, and an evolving me.

It's interesting how a single dance can also help to heal a transition.

A few weekends ago was my military ball. I didn't want to go by myself this year, so I asked a friend of mine to go. He is a wonderful person with life experiences one hopes to never have to go through. He's been such a pinnacle person in my life who has helped to "heal my heart", as one of my Spirit Guides once pointed out. LOL

Point is - we danced. I healed. I feel whole again.

In transitioning, the things I've become aware of are:

1. Identifying my strengths and weaknesses; and knowing that they don't make me a bad or horrible person. They are simply tools to help me see where I can be better, for myself, and move forward.

2. Identifying my "issues". Most people think that "issues" are such a negative word and negative connotation. Thing is - an "issue" is just something identified that I can work on. Something to overcome, to heal from, to feel through, to process, to allow.

3. Being vulnerable. Oh my - being vulnerable is something that has definitely been part of my transition this year. Being vulnerable emotionally has really opened my heart and allowed healing to take place on so many levels. Healing from past lives, resentments, self sabotage, insecurities.... and to allow others into my life who will facilitate and assist with those changes. Being vulnerable is about allowing others to see all areas of my life - the good, bad, right, wrong, no matter how beautiful or ugly it may seem to us, and to know that it's okay.

4. Allowing. This is really the biggest thing I'm currently working on for myself - to "Allow". Allowing the love and abundance to flow from the Creator. To "allow" the healing to take place in my life. To "allow" the energy from the Creator to help me be better. To "allow" myself to shed the tears and feel the emotions that may surface. To "allow" the changes in my life to happen and to trust the Creator knows the right timing.

5. Trust. Trusting others. Trusting the Creator. Trusting the process of evolving and enlightenment. At times, this can be the hardest thing to do.

These, my dearest friends and family - are part of healing and transitioning.

A Quick Note of Gratitude

It would be a shame if I didn't take the time to express my gratitude for my blessings.

Since the end of June - my life has opened up and I have been blessed greatly from the Creator. I've been able to work on myself and to notice and discover the things in my life that were not serving me in the highest and best, and was able to change them, and AM in the process of continuously changing and improving. I'll have to share a little later some of my experiences.

I feel like I've finally joined my life, and I am grateful.

And then... I danced.

Tonight I was supposed to work on one of my mom's hula students, however, my mom didn't read her text message indicating that her student wasn't going to see me this evening. (Such is life.) Before I knew this, I decided that I would hang out in my mom's halau (hula school). There were people there that, of course I didn't know but my mom keeps telling me that "so and so is related to so and so; and this is so and so's cousin and her family"... etc.

This weekend my cousin Nae was supposed to dance a solo hula for my mom at a wedding reception, but Nae has a church function to attend for her ministry; leaving us without a solo dancer. So, of course with my bright idea, I volunteered to dance. Um, I know that sounds fantastic and all, however, I haven't danced in front of an audience since being in Iraq - 2 years ago where I danced in boots and ACUs. Before that? Who knows! I think the last hula I danced in front of an audience was... 2007ish? Gads - that's a while ago!

With time on my hands, I asked my mom what hula I was going to dance, and she said, "you're a solo, you can dance whatever you want". Normally, I would pull some random old school number out of my behind, but I don't even remember any of those! So, I looked at my mom, and with pleading eyes, asked her, "will you teach me a hula?" (Okay, maybe not with pleading eyes, but I did ask her to teach me a dance.) She smiled and did.

It's the song: "Ke Aloha" by Natalie Ai Kamauu. It's my Auntie Renee's choreography, and man alive - I loved it! I can't tell you how sore my hips are from dancing hula (and a bit of Tahitian afterward), but it felt good to dance again. Once I got the hula down, I got to be more expressive in my movements and it felt AMAZING! The hula is absolutely beautiful.

In Idaho I had a friend ask me to dance a hula for him, and I blushingly denied... but now?... Heck yes! Bring on the peeps, Pili's got her hula groove back! Ha ha ha Okay, maybe not my "hula groove".

See, this trip has been an eye opener, a Chakra opener, a healing trip one of Spirituality, focus and direction, singing and guitar playing, and then... I danced.

one love~

Healing in the Highest and Best...

My trip here to California has been a healing one. Not that I've not mentioned it before, but it really has!

Today was another great healing day. I was able to work a woman today that I didn't expect to do a Reading on, nor to do Theta Healing. Our session ended up being an amazing one that helped her with self discovery of what has been keeping her back from achieving the things she wanted in her life and to understand that she didn't need to feel like she had to do things on her own. I was also able to work with her on teaching her muscles that they "know" how to lengthen and release emotions that are not serving her in the highest and best... and guess what happened? Both she and I felt the muscles in her body loosen and were pliable to manipulate. It was a fantastic discovery for the both of us!

The next was a gentleman who is a Reiki Healer. He works with balancing the Chakras and calls on his mother, Saint Miguel, and Rafael has his helpers to assist him in his work. He wanted to meet me since I was another healer so he could connect with someone who believes and does similar work. (It's always fun to meet with people who believe in the same things you do!) Anyway, we were talking and his mother came forward and told me I had to work on him. There were things that came from the other side that were precious... words from his mom, his brother-in-law, his family members and especially his grandfather.

I did not expect healings and Spirits to come so easily, but God/Creator/Heavenly Father is always there waiting for us to allow Him in and to help others. In the scriptures there are constant examples of healings, of miracles - why do people think that they have gone extinct?

Moroni states: Chpt 10: 6 - 25 (bits and pieces; emphasis by bolding and italics are added)

v.6: "And whatsoever things is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.

v. 7 ... by the power of the Holy Ghost; ... for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.

v. 8 ... deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them.

v. 9 - 16
  • teach the word of wisdom
  • teach the word of knowledge by the same Spirit
  • exceedingly great faith, gifts of healing
  • mighty miracles
  • prophesy concerning all things
  • beholding of angels and ministering spirits
  • all kinds of tongues
  • interpretation of languages and of divers kinds of tongues
v. 17: And all these gifts come by the Spirit... and they come unto every man severally, according as he will

v. 23: ... If ye have faith ye can do all things which are expedient unto me.

v. 24: ...that if the day cometh that the power and gifts of God shall be done away among you, it shall be because of unbelief.

v. 25: And wo be unto the children of men if this be the case; for there shall be none that doeth good among you, no not one. For if there be one among you that doeth good, he shall work by the power and gifts of God."

The world is changing. It is shifting into a more Spiritual "enlightenment" and there are those that will want to crush it because they don't "understand". I say, hold to your faith and allow the Creator to help others embrace their calling, their attributes, their gifts from Him/Her. It's a beautiful time in the Universe. It's a beautiful time to be on Earth. It's a beautiful time to be alive. I choose healing... in the highest and best.
