Captain "L"

Well, this is a little Christmas present that I did for my brother Keoki and his family. I'm hoping it turns out on here. Because believe it or not, I'm not very savy with this whole computer thing. I hope you like it. It's still in the process of being completed.

Speaking of Christmas presents, this Christmas all I really wanted was to be alone. But I shouldn't complain. I had the wonderful opportunity to be with my roommates' family and also with my boss' family as well. Good times were had by all.

I did, however, get to speak with my brothers, and my eldest brother was having a hard time. I think I should've gone home to Kaua'i to spend some time with him and his children. This year I'm going to make it a conscience effort to make sure I go home to Kaua'i at least once.

Oh, has anyone made goals for 2008? I'm almost done making my goals. Not so much as making "New Year Resolutions", but actual goals I can work on paso a paso. Maybe in the next blog I'll share my goals. Until then, 'Ofa atu...

Miss me?

So... did you miss me? Probably not.

Sad news, after my visit to Las Vegas, I came home, friends from the branch helped me pack & move into my new place, and then I got pneumonia. (no fun if you ask me.) I was out for a few days and then had a project to work on for my Spanish class and then study for finals. (What a week that was.)

Then, a friend of mine is staying with me for a week (long story), and my roommate moved in. It's kind of weird to have a roommate again, but I'm thinking it's going to be a great thing. At least, that's what I keep telling myself, anyway.

You want to hear something else? My acid reflux is back. =(

How about that for transitioning?

La Primera Dia

Pues, mi primera dia en Las Vegas... so far I slept in! Yeah!!! Well, if you call sleeping in until 7:50 am sleeping in! (I guess with the time change, it's really 8:50 in Idaho.) But hey, when you go to bed after 4 am and get up at 7:50 am, it makes for a long day etc. =)

So, I have a question. Who does works on their vacation? Obviously, I do! Honestly, I'm here on the computer and working via email and telephone, making sure that things in our office are running smoothly and people are getting their info in a timely fashion. Hm. Workaholic? I think so. Seriously, I work two jobs and go to school. Talk about seeking a balance, eh? This is when I get to evaluate my life and wonder if I'm really insane.

So, cheers to random blogging and finding a balance in my transitions.

P.S. I found a house!

Happy ThanksVegasing

Well, I must be crazy to be going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. And even worse, flying down there! Not driving, but flying. For those who know me, flying means I am now at the mercy of my parents to lend me their vehicle or transport me around a place I really don't care to be in anyway! Why did I think going to Vegas for Thanksgiving was a good idea? I have no clue!

The last time I had a vacation??? Last year Thanksgiving. Am I demented for not taking more breaks during the year? Possibly!

So... friends, why do we work so hard? Why do I work so hard? At times, I feel like I have nothing to show for working 2 jobs and going to school as well. (That's right, 2 jobs and going to school. 1 full time job, 1 part-time job and taking 6 credits with school.) What's my purpose in all of this? I don't know, but if anyone knows the answer to that, please... share the love and tell me!

Oh... and I guess happy moving is in order to me as well. Not knowing exactly where I'm suppose to be is quite the challenge. I guess you can say that at this time in my life, I'm "transitioning".
